3rd Annual Youth Art Show slideshow (2).png

Join us for this year's 3rd Annual Youth Art Show. Our theme, aligned with National History Day’s® theme, challenges students at Central High School to explore the relationship between rights and responsibilities in history. Students will investigate the questions of time and place, cause and effect, change over time, and the lasting impact of historical events through art.

The theme emphasizes that both rights and responsibilities are essential forces in shaping history. Rights—such as freedom, equality, and justice—often come with the responsibility to respect and protect these rights for others. This interplay between personal freedoms and civic duties has been a driving force in major historical events, from civil rights movements to the development of democratic systems, and continues to influence contemporary issues.

Much of the student-created artwork will be for sale, with 100% of the proceeds going directly to the artists. This initiative not only supports their creativity but also teaches important lessons regarding entrepreneurship and how to price and sell art.

IMPORTANT DATES:
Deadline to submit art is Dec. 14th.
Show runs from Jan. 2 - Feb. 8.
Reception for artist and their friends and family will be held on Thursday, Jan. 9th at 5:30PM.
