About the Event
The Heritage Museum cordially invites you to the opening reception of our newest exhibit, What Does the Fox Say? Exploring International Onomatopoeias.
Friday, March 7, 2025 - 6:00PM
This interactive exhibit, created in collaboration with local artist and museum volunteer Torin Widhammer, invites visitors to explore how different cultures perceive and interpret the sounds of animals. From “meow” and “woof” to “kikeriki” and “quiquiriquí,” onomatopoeias serve as a fascinating reflection of language, culture, and auditory perception.
We invite you to join us for an evening of light refreshments and conversation with Torin Widhammer as we celebrate the opening of this thought-provoking exhibit. Please RSVP.
The exhibit will remain on display from February 19 – May 31, 2025, offering ample time to revisit!
