Museums within 8 miles…Polk County Historical Society The Polk County Historical Society (PCHS) was formed in 1959. The PCHS is an all volunteer organization operated solely on donated funds, grants, memberships and admissions. Each year the PHCS holds several major fund raising events including the Brunk House’s Annual Apple Festival and a Porch Sale in July.
The Jensen Arctic Museum, located on the Western Oregon University campus, is the only museum on the West Coast devoted solely to collecting, preserving, and teaching about Arctic culture and ecology.
